Sister Leonella Consolata Medical College
Sister Leonella Consolata Medical College is a prestigious institution of higher learning located in Nyeri. The college offers academic programs in medicine, nursing, and public health. Its mission is to train and equip students to provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare services in underserved communities in Nyeri and beyond. The faculty comprises experienced medical professionals and scholars who bring knowledge and expertise to the classroom.
In addition to its academic programs, the college also provides clinical services through its affiliated hospital. General Wards
Our general wards comprise male medical (20 beds), male surgical (33 beds), and female wards (30 beds).
Children’s Ward
We have a cosy and airy 21-bed capacity paediatric ward for treating and recovery of our little angels.
Private Ward
Our 16-bed private ward offers special amenities including internet, a hot shower, special dishes and nurses.
Renal Unit
Consolata Hospital Mathari has an 8-bed dialysis unit which is well-equipped and open 24/7.
Intensive Care Unit
We have a 5-bed critical care unit and are one of the most cost-effective ICUs in the greater Mt. Kenya region.
Diagnostic Centre
Equipped with the latest medical technology, including advanced imaging equipment such as MRI, CT scans, ultrasound machines, and X-ray machines.
Modern Theatre
Consolata Hospital Mathari has three modern operating theatre rooms with modern equipment open around the clock.
Laboratory
We have a well-equipped laboratory registered with KMLTTB Licence No. ML/133 and is ISO 15189:2012 CERTIFIED.
Pharmacy
The hospital has a well-stocked pharmacy that provides a wide range of prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, and medical supplies.
Comprehensive Care Centre
The CCC is a special unit for HIV/AIDS where we offer counselling services, support groups, and education on nutrition, hygiene, and healthy living.
Cancer Centre
We have established an 8-bed chemotherapy unit suited with state-of-the-art medical equipment and consumables that serves the Mt. Kenya region
Dental Unit
From the dental chair to the dental x-ray machine, and dental drill, the unit has everything necessary for accurate diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental problems.
Eye Unit
The unit is equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment such as digital eye exam machines, OCT, visual field analyzer, retinal camera, and LASIK machines.
Ear, Nose, & Throat Unit
Our ENT unit features endoscopes, microscopes, and audiology machines, which enable accurate diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ENT conditions.
Physiotherapy Unit
The unit is equipped with advanced technology and equipment such as ultrasound machines, electrotherapy machines, and exercise equipment to provide personalized care to patients.
St Michael’s Funeral Parlour
Our mortuary is conveniently situated and is adequately equipped with an efficient refrigeration capacity of 12 bodies.
